If the session is a public group session then the recommended format is:
- Explanation
- Warm-up
- Mobility
- Technique demonstration
- Prep work (preparation)
- Technique work
- Weight selection
- Workout/programming adjustment
- Workout
- Cooldown
A warm-up should be focused on the movements involved. Mobility work needs to focus on the individual user as well as the workout to come.
Prep work is where the user will be able to check their technique and regress or work with alternatives. Slowly increase the weight selection for the exercises to further warm up but also to find out what the correct weight selection is for the session at hand. With the info from the prep work, the workout or programming might need to be adjusted.
